We care. We don’t work for a big bank; we work with our clients. Our clients have different situations, goals and needs, so we match them up with the best loan product for their situation. Our goal goes far beyond a smooth closing and the funding of a loan; we want our clients to walk away having had a great customer experience. We want people to come back and use us again and to recommend us to friends and family because they know we care about the products and service we provide, as well as the people we are helping.
We educate. Each one of our associates takes the time necessary to educate clients through the entire loan process. Our motto is, “We’re With You Every Step of the Way,” and we really stand behind that. From our first conversation to the closing table, we make sure our clients understand their mortgage choices and guide them through each phase of the process.
We are ethical. We’re committed to earning the respect of our clients and every other person we come in contact with throughout the loan process (Realtors, appraisers, title companies, financial advisers, etc.) We want our customers to be represented by the most trustworthy mortgage lenders in the industry, which is why we go through great efforts to adhere to a professional code of ethics and standards.
We are professional. Stratus Mortgage is a member of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers, the Texas Association of Mortgage Brokers, and the Westlake Chamber of Commerce. We have established a solid reputation here in Austin and pride ourselves on the number of referrals we receive from satisfied clients. Several reputable Realtors and financial advisers recommend Stratus as an extension of their service to their clients because they know they can rely on Stratus to provide excellent customer service and great loan products.
We are dependable. At Stratus, we did not contribute to the mortgage crisis. In fact, less than 1 percent of our loans were sub-prime or exotic loans (negative amortization). We are proud to be among the 40 percent of mortgage companies that are surviving the mortgage crisis and hope we will continue to steadily grow and prosper. We are here to help our clients, not hurt them. The loans and products we recommend to our clients are carefully chosen to ensure that the purchase or refinance fits into our clients’ overall financial goals.
We are progressive. We offer a wide array of loan products. We have built relationships with many large banks, wholesale lenders and local banks to offer our clients a wide range of competitive loan programs and products. Additionally, we are introducing e-sign technology to local title companies. E-sign technology allows clients to digitally sign many of the loan documents, thereby reducing paper consumption and making the underwriting and closing processes more efficient.
